The basketball tradition in the wine town was renewed via a school league, in which 100 children took part in the first season. The school basketball league has a long tradition in Pezinok. The first seasons of the league were organised from 2004 through 2010, always under the auspices of the Slovak Basketball Association and only with the participation of Pezinok schools.
The only thing the schools provide is space for training and the release of students for the duration of the league. The purpose was to get a clear overview of perspective talents that would subsequently join the club. The school league is played by mixed teams of boys and girls. Gradually other schools join the league and thus it acquires the character of a district competition.
Since 2018, the company GS-SOFT became the general partner, with approximately 110 to 125 students from the respective schools participating in the competition.
